The Aims of the Society are
The APSN Biennial Meetings Explanatory Notes 1. APSN Membership: From July 2006, APSN will be re-structured to be a society based on individual membership. APSN is open to individual scientists who have a significant interest in neurochemistry or other neuroscience disciplines and who are based in the Asia Pacific region. However, membership is not restricted to this region. Fellow neurochemist/neuroscientist working in other geographical regions are also welcome. Type of Membership: Regular members: Regular members are members who have the rights to vote and to hold office in the Society. Student members: Registered students of recognized universities can join APSN as student members at a reduced rate. Student members do not have the rights to vote and to hold office in the Society. Corporate members: Corporations that are in businesses related to Neurochemistry or Neuroscience are welcome to join as Corporate members. Corporate members do not have the rights to vote and to hold office in the Society. 2. Membership dues Membership dues are charged to each individual member yearly from Jan 1 to Dec 31. In view of the large divergence in the economic status of Asian Pacific nations, there will be 4 different membership dues categories with annual dues set as follows: Category I, US$40; II, US$30; III, US$20; and IV, US$15. Only individual paid-up members can enjoy the reduced registration fees at the 8th Biennial Meeting of APSN in Shanghai (June 24-26, 2008), a saving of US$50.
