The Scientific Program Committee is inviting proposals for symposia and young investigator colloquia.

Invited Symposia

We anticipate six (6) invited symposia with four speakers in each symposium. The Scientific Program Committee will select the symposia from submitted proposals (open invitation). Each selected symposium will receive at least US$2,000 to be shared by the speakers in addition to gratis registration fees. Members and non-members are invited to submit proposals for symposia detailing:
a. The topic of the symposium
b. A one-page abstract
c. The reason(s) why the topic of the symposium is important
d. The names of the Chairperson and four speakers, confirming their willingness to participate
e. Short CVs of the four speakers with a selection of up to 5 publications for each speaker

Invited Young Investigator Colloquia

We anticipate four (4) “Young Investigators’ Colloquia” with four speakers in each colloquium. These colloquia should feature young investigators mainly from the APSN regions and will be selected by the Scientific Program Committee from submitted proposals (open invitation). Thirty minutes will be available for each contribution. Preference will be given to independent young investigators. The candidates should be either below 40 years of age or less than 10 years after Ph.D. Each selected speaker will receive a waiver of his/her registration fees plus financial support towards his/her travel and accommodation expenses. To apply, the candidates should submit the following:
a. The title of their contribution
b. A one-page abstract
c. A short one-page CV
d. List of publications during the last three years

Workshops should focus on approaches or conflicting issues. Workshop sessions should encourage free exchanges among participants. The applicants who wish to organize should submit the proposal with the following details:
a. The topic
b. The names of the Chairperson and speakers, confirming their willingness to participate
c. The reason why the topic is important
d. The applicants should describe how they are going to run the session to meet the above requirements

Satellite Symposia
